Viewer related
The viewer is a licenced part of the service and only available to users that have a contract with CyanoAlert.
We will add your lake polygons to the viewer during the service start-up phase. If you do not have your own, we can retrieve them from a public lakes database.
App related
The CyanoAlert Application is currently suitable for Android mid-sized, mid-level mobile phones with Android OS 5+. The minimum screen requirements are: 4.7 inches (12 cm) diagonally and 1280 x 768 pixels.
In the app Reporting tab you can upload photos and descriptions. All reports are saved in the CyanoAlert App database. Submitted reports may be accessed by CyanoAlert Service staff to use information on bloom existence, water colour and photographs for satellite product validation purposes.
Once submitted, all users’ reports appear on the main map in the app using the colour coding from the reported Water Colour category. The location coordinates and the last 3 reports are shown (colour coded), when the user taps on the report pin.
